We work directly with adults with care and support needs and carers, to empower the expression of individual or joint needs, requirements and opinions in a way that they are heard and can influence the services they use. We provide an independent view to complaints investigation, service trouble shooting, staffing issues, policy writing, Quality Assurance and designing services.”

- Is currently involved in delivering extensive programmes of training to social care workers, social workers, university staff and safeguarding leads, foster and link family carers, nurses, psychologists, CPN, GP’s and other care related professionals commissioned by 19 separate local authorities and NHS trusts.
- Is an Associate lecturer at London Metropolitan University delivering masters level, 30 credit modules in Advanced Safeguarding, Addiction, Disability, Advanced Reflective practice and MCA/DoLS.
- Has undertaken many safeguarding enquiries for a range of organisations and authorities.
- Has recently written a Safeguarding Supervision model now widely in use by ICB’s.
- Main areas of training include Safeguarding Adults, Care Act 2014, Social Work Skills, Learning Disability, Specialist Communication, Working with Young People, CAMH, ADHD, Child Protection, Working with Risk, Challenging Behaviour, MCA, Dementia, Older Peoples Mental Health, Mental Health, Autism, Personalisation and SDS, Supervision, Equality, Diversity and Human Rights, Death, Dying Bereavement and Loss.
- Was an inspector for National Care Standards Commission and the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate.
- Has worked with a diverse range of client groups. people who have learning disabilities, older people, people who have mental health issues, brain injuries, children and families, physical disabilities, chronically and terminally ill and special needs children.
- Has worked on fieldwork teams and latterly in developing and designing services for adults and children with learning disabilities or/ and mental health issues.
- Has devised and implemented systems of Quality Assurance, Training Programmes and other ‘troubleshooting’ roles within services.

- Has worked as a senior manager for a London LA responsible for older people, physical disability, sensory disability and hospital services.
- Has worked as a consultant fulfilling the role of Head of Learning Disabilities for a LA in the home counties
- Has been employed as Head of Learning Disability for a London Borough.
- Oversees Safeguarding cases, manages senior LA staff and designs and implements policy initiatives.
- Currently involved in delivering training for local authorities, NHS trusts and private and voluntary care organisations nationwide in subjects including Learning Disability, Mental Illness, Challenging Behaviour and Communication.
- Has been a senior manager within Social Services, NHS, and the independent sector working in Mental Health, Learning Disability, Acquired Brain Injury and Older Persons services.
- Provides a trouble-shooting and short-term management service to support services in times of difficulty.
